ADXL345 3-Axis Digital Accelerometer Module
The ADXL345 is a small, thin, low-power, 3-axis accelerometer with high resolution (13-bit) measurement at up to ±16 g. It is designed for mobile device applications and measures both static acceleration of gravity in tilt-sensing applications and dynamic acceleration resulting from motion or shock. The digital output data is formatted as 16-bit two's complement and is accessible through either a SPI (3- or 4-wire) or I²C digital interface.
Key Features:
- Ultra-Low Power Consumption:As low as 23 µA in measurement mode and 0.1 µA in standby mode at 2.5 V.
- High Resolution:13-bit measurement at up to ±16 g, enabling measurement of inclination changes less than 1.0
- Flexible Interface: Supports both SPI and I²C digital interfaces.
- Special Sensing FunctionsIncludes activity/inactivity sensing, tap/double tap detection, and free-fall detection.
- Embedded Memory Management:** Features a 32-level FIFO buffer to minimize host processor load.
- Wide Temperature Range:** Operates effectively from -40°C to +85°C.
-Shock Survival:Can withstand shocks up to 10,000 g.
Applications:
- Mobile Devices
- Medical Instrumentation
- Gaming and Pointing Devices
- Industrial Instrumentation
- Personal/DIY Navigation Devices
The ADXL345 is an ideal choice for applications requiring low power consumption, high resolution, and versatile sensing capabilities. Its compact size and robust performance make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
