How Flonasin Nasal Spray works
Flonasin Nasal Spray is a combination of two medicines: Fluticasone Propionate and Azelastine, which relieves sneezing and runny nose caused due to allergies (allergic rhinitis). Fluticasone Propionate is a steroid which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause inflammation (swelling) and irritation in the nose. Azelastine is an antiallergic which relieves allergy symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes and sneezing.
Quick Tips

  • Avoid deep breathing as it will cause medication to go back to the throat and make it less effective.
  • Inform your doctor if you have an infection, injury or ulceration in the inside of the nose as Flonasin Nasal Spray can increase the risk of nose bleed and ulceration.
