Product Description

The L293D Motor Driver Shield is an expansion board designed to control multiple motors with ease. This shield is based on the L293D motor driver chip, which provides bidirectional drive currents of up to 1.2A per bridge with thermal shutdown protection. It is capable of driving up to 4 bidirectional DC motors with individual 8-bit speed selection or 2 stepper motors (unipolar or bipolar) with single coil, double coil, or interleaved stepping. The shield features 4 H-bridges, each providing up to 0.6A per bridge (1.2A peak) at voltages from 4.5V to 36V. It also includes pull-down resistors to keep the motors disabled during power-up and a 2-pin terminal block for separate logic and motor external power supplies. Compatible with Arduino Mega, Diecimila, and Duemilanove, this motor driver shield is perfect for various DIY projects and robotics applications.
