LP Switches, are basically a simple electro- mechanical device functioning on the following basic principle: When a any change occurs in water pressure on low pressure side of an elastic diaphragm, it shifts transmitting a force to a pre calibrated snap switch. So when Diaphragm motion is opposed by a calibrated spring inbuilt in the micro switch that determines the range of the switch.
