About the Author
Kahlil Gibran (1883–1931), a Lebanese-American poet and artist, achieved enduring fame through his masterpiece, The Prophet, published in 1923. Born in Bsharri, Lebanon, Gibran immigrated to the United States in 1895. His literary and artistic talents flourished, leading to a prolific career that included not only The Prophet but also works like The Broken Wings and Jesus, the Son of Man.
